OnGuard Lone Safety

Safety Compliance

Safety compliance means to be in accordance with federal and local standards and regulations around safety. Most regulations require establishing and executing safety programs. Many organizations try to avoid the topic of health and safety programs as it is seen as additional cost and burden but studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between employees feeling safe and an improved morale, less turnover and absenteeism and ultimately increased productivity. Of course, a good safety program will also lead to fewer injuries, less healthcare costs and reduced insurance premiums. OnGuard provides several tools that will help to establish and enforce solid safety programs.

remote control

Remote Control

Remote configuration allows a supervisor to change a worker’s phone settings remotely from the OnGuard web-based command portal. Each individual setting can be configured and locked by authorized administrators so that users can no longer make unauthorized changes to their personal settings. This avoids critical safety functions to become tampered with by negligent workers which could lead to compliance issues for the organization.

compliance reporting

Compliance Reporting

Increasing legislation and regulation requires accurate user reports. Knowing that the system is being used is far different from being able to produce reports with accurate locations, user safety status and time stamps to support legislative reporting requirements. OnGuard uses multiple types of reports to create an accurate picture of how the system is being used and whether there are gaps that require additional attention.

location history

Location History / Breadcrumb

A post-incident review and is always important to reconstruct what happened over the entire period of time. Perception immediately after the incident can be very distorted and inaccurate. Real location history data helps to provide a full picture and allows for a step by step reconstruction of the situation and better training for more positive future outcomes.

standard operating procedure

Standard Operating Procedure

Defining SOP enables a company to meet legislative or regulatory requirements. After defining these procedures, workers need to be trained and managed, so they follow them. When OnGuard is being used to support the company SOP, there is a reduced risk of incident and an increased level of compliance, both of which can lower costs for insurance premiums and increase worker safety and productivity.
