A geofence provides an imaginary line around a specified map zone that can be used to trigger an action if an individual enters a certain zone or to ensure those within a certain zone have specific permissions or requirements.

OnGuard provides geofence actions to enhance safety, security and productivity. Crossing in or out of a geofence can trigger changes, check-ins, alerts, enrollment in groups or automatically notifying users of hazards and compliance requirements associated with a particular zone.

Check-ins can be used to account for all supervisors, workers and contractors on a job site to ensure productivity and safety in case of an incident requiring evacuation. Geofences can be placed around areas with a higher associated safety risk to ensure workers wear their personal protective equipment (PPE) and have the right training and credentials.
